Do you have Double Curve?

What is double curve →

There’s a lot of misconceptions about Kibbe’s image IDs but double curve might be one of the biggest.

Having big boobs and large hips doesn’t equate to double curve.

Double curve is often described as this “figure 8”, but that kind of makes people think of a snowman shape and I don’t know if thats a great way to really understand.

Also, you can still have big boobs and not have double curve – and you can also have small boobs and have double curve.

So it can all get kind of confusing, but here’s the best visual I’ve seen so far.

Yang breasts - are going to be contained within the frame. Larger ribcages and wider frames are more yang dominant characteristics - because they’re frame dominant - so their frame defines their body and you’re more likely to see it.

As a result, even if they have large boobs, their frame is wide enough to contain them

Because they’re within the frame, their boobs aren’t what is going to disrupt the fabric from falling straight down - something else is, like maybe shoulders or hips.

For example, Flamboyant Naturals who are curvy and have "yin breasts", won’t have double curve because the width of their shoulders allows fabric to fall without getting pushed outward.

On the other hand, yin dominant types are going to be little, small, and flesh dominant. Unless theyre REALLY skinny, you don’t see their ribs very often because they are not defined by their frame.

As a result, their breast is going to generally be outside of their frame and as a result, thats going to be the FIRST point of the disruption of fabric from falling straight down.

Since yin dominant types have a less strong frame, they need curve accommodation to account for the fabric getting pushed outward by the breasts and then inward for the waist and outward again at the hips. Otherwise, they can look like they’re swimming in the fabric.
